Napoli's management moved quickly to secure their Scottish player Scott McTominay, amid interest from Saudi and English clubs in signing him in the upcoming period.
Italian journalist Nicolo Schira revealed on his account on the "X" platform that negotiations between the two parties are progressing positively to extend the player's contract.
He explained that Napoli offered a new contract extending until 2030, with an option to extend for an additional season until 2031, along with an improvement in his annual salary.
He pointed out that the former Manchester United player received two notable offers from Premier League clubs and Saudi clubs, but his preference is to continue in Italy.
McTominay is currently under contract with Napoli until 2028, earning around 3 million euros annually in addition to incentives.
