Sunday 15-02-2026
Barcelona's struggles in the first half of matches continue, with the team conceding 31 goals in the first 45 minutes this season, making them the team in Europe that has conceded the most goals during this period, surpassing Wolverhampton, one of the worst teams in the Premier League this season.

According to the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo," the four goals conceded by Barcelona in the first half against Atletico Madrid in the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final clearly highlight this issue. The goals came between the 31st and 45th minutes, among 14 out of 31 goals conceded in the first half, while the team conceded another 10 goals at the start of matches (minutes 1-15).

The team shows a noticeable improvement after the break, having conceded only 13 goals in the second half of matches compared to the first half. The detailed distribution of goals conceded after the break indicates two goals between the 46th and 60th minutes, four goals between the 61st and 75th minutes, two goals between the 76th and 89th minutes, and five goals from the 90th minute until the end of the match.

There is also a noticeable difference in offensive performance between the halves, as Barcelona scored 35 goals in the first half compared to 56 goals in the second half. This reflects an improvement in performance after the break and highlights the need to focus from the start to avoid early losses that could affect the team's results in domestic and European competitions.
