Raphinha Ready to Face Girona, Rashford Out of Consideration
Sunday 15-02-2026
Barcelona continues its preparations to face Girona in the twenty-fourth round of the Spanish league, where coach Hans Flick received a significant boost with Raphinha's return to group training, while Rashford's absence from the match has been confirmed.

The Spanish newspaper 'Mundo Deportivo' reported that Raphinha trained normally with the group during the session held behind closed doors at the club's sports city, after recovering from the pain he was experiencing in the adductor muscle.

The player started gradually returning to training on Friday, participating in part of the session and showing full readiness before the Girona match scheduled for Monday evening, February 16, at 10 PM Cairo time.

On the other hand, Rashford continues to be absent due to the pain resulting from a blow he received on his left knee during the Mallorca match. The player did not participate in recent training sessions and missed the Atletico Madrid match in the first leg of the King's Cup semi-final, making his participation against Girona unlikely, with expectations of his return in the next league match.

The training sessions saw the participation of Tommy Marquez, Joffrey Torrents, Cuchin, and Juan Hernandez with the first team, as they are not engaged in matches with the reserve team during this period.

Meanwhile, the area surrounding part of the sports city's facilities has been replaced with barriers, specifically in the space extending from the third field to the first women's team field, after the damage caused by the recent storm.

Barcelona hopes to continue its positive results in the league, benefiting from Raphinha's readiness, while the technical staff awaits Rashford's full recovery before his return to the team list.
