Aguard Explodes in Anger After Marseille Draw
Sunday 15-02-2026
The Moroccan international Nayef Aguerd made fiery statements following Olympique Marseille's draw against Strasbourg with a score of (2-2), in a match held at the Velodrome Stadium, which witnessed fatal errors in the final minutes.

In his interview with beIN Sports after the match, Aguerd expressed his deep dissatisfaction, saying: "It's painful. The fans are tired of hearing promises to correct mistakes. The only truth is what happens on the field."

The events of the meeting... a painful ending.

Marseille approached the match cautiously under the guidance of interim coach Jacques Abardonado, who took over following the departure of Roberto De Zerbi.

The team benefited from Mason Greenwood's movements before Amine Gouiri reinforced the lead with a second goal in the second half, giving the fans hope of securing the three points.

However, the final minutes brought a shocking scenario as the team noticeably retreated and conceded an equalizing goal, then committed an error that resulted in a decisive penalty kick in the 90+4 minute, leaving them with just one point amid the anger of the stands.

A clear message inside the locker room.

Aguerd emphasized that the responsibility is collective, adding: "It's easy to blame the defense, but the problem concerns the entire team. We cannot continue this way, and this is humiliating for everyone."

He concluded his remarks by emphasizing the need to have a stronger presence on the field: "We have the talent, but it's not enough. We need to be more aggressive. We must be better at home and move forward."

Akrad's statements reflect the tension within Marseille at a critical point in the season, as fans increasingly demand the restoration of discipline and the achievement of positive results to get the team back on track.
