Press reports have confirmed that Napoli player Scott McTominay will not be available for his team's match against Roma on Sunday due to his ongoing injury struggles, which will keep him from even being on the bench.

The match will kick off at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium on Sunday at 9:45 PM Cairo time, in an important encounter in the Italian league.

McTominay had left the match between Napoli and Genoa last week at halftime, after scoring a decisive goal for his team in their 3-2 away victory. He also missed the Italian Cup quarter-final against Como, who eliminated Napoli on penalties after a 1-1 draw.

The absence of the player is a blow to coach Antonio Conte, especially with Juan Jesus suspended, and the continued absence of Neres, Di Lorenzo, Anguissa, and Kevin De Bruyne.

On the other hand, Politano has fully recovered and will be ready to start, while Elmas is expected to take over the midfield to compensate for McTominay's absence.
