Mohammed Bakr had been absent from participating since the match against Al-Hilal in the twentieth round of the Saudi Professional League, before the coach excluded him from the match against Al-Shabab due to his lack of full readiness.

According to "Al-Riyadiya" newspaper, Bakr is close to making a reappearance against Shabab Al Ahli, while the status of Mohamed Abdulrahman will be determined after the final training session, following his previous absence due to illness.

Al-Ahly occupies the second place in its Asian group with 14 points, tied on goal difference with Iran's Tractor and the UAE's Al Wahda, which increases the importance of the upcoming match.
