Al-Ahly Concludes Preparations for Royal Army with the Return of Imam Ashour
The first football team of Al Ahly Club conducted their training session this Friday evening at the Tetch Stadium on the island, in preparation for facing the Moroccan Royal Army in the final match of the group stage of the African Champions League.
The Danish coach Jess Thorup made sure to hold a technical lecture with the players before the start of the training session to discuss the tactical aspects related to the upcoming match and the importance of achieving a positive result at the end of the stage.
The players underwent physical training in the gym before moving on to tactical aspects during the ball training session. Meanwhile, the quartet of Mohamed El-Shenawy, Mostafa Shobeir, Hamza Alaa, and Mohamed Siha had an intense workout under the supervision of the goalkeeping coach.
Imam Ashour participated in the group training session after his suspension period ended by decision of the football director. Al Ahly is set to meet the Royal Army at 6 PM the day after tomorrow, Sunday, at Cairo International Stadium as part of the final round of the group stage.
