Al-Hilal Tightens Grip on League Lead with a Double Against Al-Ittifaq

Al-Hilal team secured a well-deserved victory against Al-Ettifaq with a score of two to nil, in the match held at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, as part of the twenty-second round of the Saudi Roshn League.

The Italian Simone Inzaghi fielded a starting lineup that included Yassine Bounou, Hamad Al-Yami, Kalidou Koulibaly, Hassan Tambakti, Nasser Al-Dawsari, Ruben Neves, Mohamed Kanno, Sergej Savic, Malcom, Salem Al-Dawsari, and Karim Benzema.

Mohammed Kanno opened the scoring early in the 13th minute after capitalizing on a precise cross from Malcom following a corner kick, rising with his head to place it into the net of Al-Ettifaq.

Salem Al-Dawsari strengthened the score with the second goal in the 31st minute, following a new cross from Malcom inside the penalty area. The goalkeeper tried to clear it before "The Tornado" followed it into the net.

In the second half, Al Hilal continued their pressure in search of a third goal, and Kanno scored in the 79th minute, but the referee disallowed it after consulting the video assistant referee (VAR).

With this victory, Al Hilal increased its tally to 53 points at the top of the Saudi League standings, while Al Ettifaq's tally remained at 35 points in sixth place.
