Al-Ahly Defeats Al-Shabab with Five Goals and Rises to Second Place in the League

Al-Ahli team achieved a wide victory over its host Al-Shabab with a score of 5-2, in an exciting match held at the "SHG Arena," as part of the twenty-second round of the Saudi Roshan League.

Al-Ahly took an early lead through Rayan Hamed, who followed up on a cross in the sixth minute, confirming a strong start for the visitors at Al-Shabab Stadium.

Frank Kessié added the second goal after a complete breakaway following a magical pass from Riyad Mahrez in the twentieth minute, before Mahrez himself added the third goal after a cross from Zakaria Hawsawi in the twenty-fifth minute.

The Belgian Yannick Carrasco reduced the deficit for Al-Shabab with a powerful free kick in the 33rd minute, but Al-Ahli quickly responded with a fourth goal just a minute later, scored by the Frenchman Enzo Millot following an assist from Ivan Toney.

Carrasco scored the second goal for Al-Shabab from a penalty in the 44th minute, ending the first half with Al-Ahli leading 4-2. The Englishman Ivan Toney sealed the result with a fifth goal from a penalty in the 83rd minute.

With this victory, Al-Ahli raised its tally to 50 points and climbed to second place in the Saudi League standings, one point ahead of Al-Nassr, while Al-Shabab dropped to fourteenth place with 19 points after losing at home.
