The Uruguayan Darwin Núñez, a striker for Saudi club Al-Hilal, is moving towards making a decisive decision regarding his future after being excluded from the local squad in recent days.

The Al-Hilal management decided to register Brazilian Marcos Leonardo instead of Nunez in the local roster, while maintaining the player's eligibility to participate in the elite Asian Champions League, based on the vision of Italian coach Simone Inzaghi.

The 247 platform revealed that Darwin Núñez is considering unilaterally terminating his contract with Al Hilal, while filing an official complaint to the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) to demand full payment of his financial entitlements.

The platform clarified that the Uruguayan attacker has entered negotiations with Brazilian clubs in preparation for a free transfer, should his contract with the blue team be terminated in the upcoming period.

Núñez joined Al-Hilal last summer from Liverpool for 53 million euros, with a contract extending for three seasons.

The player refused to transfer to Turkey's Fenerbahçe during the last winter transfer window, despite Al Hilal's management agreeing to his departure at the time, preferring to continue with the team.
