The Competitions Committee of the Egyptian Football Association decided to change the date and venue of the match between Zamalek and Ceramica Cleopatra, as part of the Round of 16 of the Egypt Cup, following an official letter of objection submitted by the White Club regarding the previous schedule of the match.

Zamalek's management had requested to postpone the match, citing unfair competition, as the team would play 6 matches within 15 days, while Ceramica Cleopatra would have a rest period of up to 12 days before the encounter. The club considered this a violation of the principle of fairness between the two teams.

The Competitions Committee partially responded to Zamalek's demands and decided to hold the match at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, February 17, at the Suez Canal Authority Stadium, instead of holding it at 2:30 PM at Cairo Stadium on the same date.

Zamalek qualified for the round of 16 after defeating Baladiyat Al-Mahalla with a score of one to zero, while Ceramica Cleopatra secured its spot in the same round after overcoming Samad Abu Qir with a score of two to zero. Fans are eagerly anticipating a strong match between the two teams in the tournament.
