Al-Ahly Awaits Decision on Demiral and Galeno Against Al-Shabab
The Al-Ahli team's coaching staff is awaiting the final medical report to determine the status of the duo, Merih Demiral and Galeno Wenderson, ahead of the anticipated match against Al-Shabab in the Saudi Pro League.
Al-Ahly will visit Al-Shabab as part of the 22nd round of competitions, in a strong match taking place on Friday evening in the capital, Riyadh, with significant importance placed on the three points in the race for the top.
The Saudi newspaper "Al-Riyadiyah" clarified that the decision regarding the participation of Turkish player Merih Demiral will be determined after the final training session, before the delegation heads to Riyadh in preparation for the match.
The newspaper indicated that Demiral's appearance as a starter depends on his physical readiness and full recovery from injury, in addition to the assessment of his condition during Wednesday and Thursday's training sessions.
On the other hand, Brazilian Galeno is ready to support Al-Ahli against Al-Shabab after recovering from a minor injury he sustained during the main training session, which kept him out of the Asian match against Al-Wahda of the UAE.
The match is scheduled to kick off at 4:55 PM on Friday, in a highly competitive encounter between two teams aiming to strengthen their positions in the standings.
Al-Ahli occupies the third position in the Saudi Professional League standings with 47 points, accumulated from 14 wins, 5 draws, and only one loss this season.
