The German newspaper "Bild" revealed that international defender Nico Schlotterbeck has set Real Madrid as his preferred destination should he decide to leave Borussia Dortmund in the near future.

According to the same source, the Royal Club includes Schlotterbeck on its list of options to strengthen the backline, as part of its plan to bolster the defense with players who combine physical strength and technical quality.

The newspaper indicated that the expected price for the deal, ranging between 40 and 50 million euros, is not an obstacle for Real Madrid's management, noting that the young defender's contract with Dortmund expires in the summer of 2027.

Schlotterbeck is expected to decide his future by next March, where he will make a final decision on whether to renew his contract with Borussia Dortmund or open the door to a new experience, amid anticipation from several major European clubs, led by Real Madrid and Barcelona.
