Zamalek Club sent an official letter to the Egyptian Football Association requesting the postponement of the match against Ceramica Cleopatra, scheduled for February 17, in the round of 16 of the Egypt Cup.

Zamalek emphasized in its letter the necessity of postponing the match due to the lack of equal opportunities and the absence of fairness, especially since the team will play 6 matches in 15 days, while the Ceramica Cleopatra team will have a 12-day rest before the anticipated encounter between the two teams. Consequently, Zamalek will face a well-rested team while they suffer from fatigue and will play the match without their fans.

Zamalek clarified that the timing of the match affects the players' health and does not consider the issue of fatigue by scheduling it at 2:30 in the afternoon. They objected to depriving their fans of attending the match without justification, as if it were a punishment.

The club insisted on requesting the postponement of the match to a later date while maintaining Zamalek's rights in this regard.

Zamalek is preparing to face its counterpart Smouha tomorrow, Wednesday, in the postponed match from the 14th round of the Egyptian Premier League.
