Al-Zawraa Surpasses Al-Wasl with a Trio in the AFC Champions League 2

Al-Zawraa team achieved a valuable and exciting victory at the expense of its guest, the Emirati club Al-Wasl, with a score of 3-2, in the first leg of the round of sixteen of the AFC Champions League 2.

The match was held at Al-Zawraa Stadium in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, and witnessed a distinctive crowd attendance.

Al-Wasl started quickly and scored the first goal through player Miguel Borja in the fifth minute to give Al-Wasl the lead.

In the 27th minute, Moroccan player Soufiane Bouftini received a direct red card after his intervention on player Amer Jamos, leaving the team to complete the match with a numerical shortage.

From this expulsion, Al-Zawraa began to press and intensify its attacks until it equalized through Amer Jamos in the 45+8 minute, ending the first half with a positive draw of one goal each.

With the start of the second half, specifically in the 65th minute, Al-Wasl added the second goal through Miguel Borja, despite Al-Zawraa's control over the course of the game.

Al-Zawraa quickly responded and scored the equalizer through Colombian Brian Riascos in the 68th minute, leveling the score again.

The same player, Brian Riascos, returned to score the third goal for the Al-Zawraa team in the 75th minute, ending the match with an important victory for Al-Zawraa.

The second leg between the two teams will be held at Zabeel Stadium in Dubai next Tuesday.
