The Brazilian Marcos Leonardo, striker for the Saudi Al-Hilal team, plans to end his stint with the capital club and leave permanently after the current season concludes, as the upcoming summer transfer window approaches.

Journalist Akram Konur revealed on his account on the "X" platform that Leonardo prefers to continue with Al Hilal until next June, before taking the step of permanently leaving after the season concludes.

The report indicated that the Brazilian forward has become the focus of interest for several European clubs, with strong attention from teams active in the English Premier League, as well as clubs from Italy and Germany.

During the last winter transfer window, Leonardo was linked with a loan move to Atletico Madrid, especially after the Frenchman Karim Benzema joined, but the deal did not materialize in its final stages.

The Brazilian club Flamengo rejected the idea of signing the player during the winter transfer window, as coach Filipe Luís deemed him unsuitable for the type of out-and-out striker he is looking for, despite pressure from the fans.

Marcos Leonardo is 22 years old and joined Al Hilal in the summer of 2024 from Portuguese club Benfica, with a contract extending until June 2029, before the prospects for his future quickly changed.
