Bono Nearing Return with Al Hilal Before Al Ettifaq Clash
Tuesday 10-02-2026
The Moroccan international goalkeeper Yassine Bounou is close to returning to official competitions with Al Hilal Saudi Club, having overcome the health issues that temporarily kept him away from group training. This has provided the technical staff with significant relief ahead of a crucial phase of the season.

According to Saudi media reports, the medical examinations undergone by Bono confirmed that the shoulder pain he was experiencing is mild and not concerning, and does not require additional tests. The medical staff has confirmed his physical readiness to return to matches in the upcoming period.

The Al-Hilal goalkeeper only participated in special treatment sessions and missed last Sunday's group training session, which raised some questions about the duration of his absence, especially with the team's busy schedule of local and continental commitments.

In order to ensure the player's safety and avoid any potential complications, Al Hilal's technical staff preferred to rest him during the match against Shabab Al Ahli Dubai of the UAE, which took place on Monday evening as part of the AFC Champions League elite competition.

Bono is expected to make his official return to the Al-Hilal lineup during the match against Al-Ettifaq, scheduled for February 13, as part of the 22nd round of the Saudi Roshn League.

The return of the Moroccan goalkeeper is considered a strong boost for the blue team, given his extensive experience at both continental and international levels, and his crucial role in major matches.
