Vlahović Nears Joining Barcelona
Tuesday 10-02-2026
Dusan Vlahovic, the Juventus striker, is experiencing a difficult season following an injury to his inner thigh muscle, which has limited his participation in a crucial year, especially with his contract set to expire at the end of the season.

The physical trainer of the Serbian national team, Dusat Ilic, confirmed that the player will leave Juventus and move to Barcelona next summer: "He will go to Barcelona, that's what I believe. Before his move to Juventus, he could have played in Spain through an offer from Atletico Madrid, but he chose to stay in Italy. Now the situation is different."

Ilić pointed out that Vlahović's career will not return to its previous level unless he changes clubs and joins a project that gives him the opportunity to shine: "Dušan loves and respects Italy, but he now needs to revive his career and make progress. Only in this way will he return to being the top-tier player we saw at Fiorentina."

Regarding his injury, Ilic added: "The injury is complicated and he needs to recover well. I believe we will see him return to the field at the beginning of March, and he will regain his old habits of scoring goals and breaking through opponents' defenses. The injured area is healing slowly, but thanks to the doctors and specialists, we will see him soon."

Ilić has been working with Vlahović since 2021, both individually and with the Serbian national team, giving him full insight into his future: "We started working together during the COVID-19 pandemic, session after session for over a year. He had a personal coach for physical conditioning, and we also focused on nutrition. My assessment of him is excellent, both as a player and a person, and his physical performance is exceptional."
