Zamalek club officials imposed administrative and financial penalties on the Angolan player Chico Banza after he got into an altercation with the Palestinian player Adam Kaid during team training sessions, ahead of the match against Zesco United of Zambia in the fifth round of Group D in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Reports mentioned that the club's management decided to fine Chico Banza financially, in addition to excluding him from group training and having him train individually, due to his unacceptable behavior towards a teammate.

Coach Moatamed Gamal decided to exclude the player from the team's squad that played against Zesco, a match that ended with Zamalek losing 1-0, marking the team's first defeat in this round of the continental championship.

Zamalek Club is now preparing to face Smouha next Wednesday, as part of the fourteenth round of the Egyptian Premier League, as the team seeks to regain victories and strengthen its position in the standings.

Zamalek currently holds second place in the Egyptian League with 28 points, while Smouha is in fifth place with 58 points, making the upcoming match important for both sides in the battle for top positions.
