Barcelona Conducts Recovery Training as Raphinha Remains Absent

Barcelona's first football team conducted a recovery training session on Sunday morning at the Joan Gamper sports city, following their 3-0 victory over Real Mallorca, strengthening their lead in the Spanish League.

Coach Hans Flick led the session at a light pace for the main players compared to the substitutes, while Brazilian Raphinha continued to be absent from the group training as he follows a special rehabilitation program to recover from an overload in the adductor muscle of his right leg.

The Spanish newspaper 'Mundo Deportivo' reported that Raphinha is working to catch up with the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final against Atletico Madrid, scheduled for next Thursday, after missing the matches against Albacete and Mallorca, following his precautionary exit at halftime during the last match against Elche, with a recovery period set for a week.

Frenkie de Jong also did not participate in the group training, as Flick preferred to rest him against Mallorca, with the German coach indicating that the player is not 100% ready.

The training session saw the participation of Rony Bardji, Marc Bernal, and Gerard Martin, as Flick continues to rely on young players, while the team will have a rest day on Monday, and will resume training on Tuesday in preparation for facing Atletico Madrid in the cup, before meeting Girona on February 16 in the Spanish League.
