Sharp Dispute Between Conceição and Al-Ittihad Management.. Here are the Reasons?
Sunday 08-02-2026
Tensions are escalating within Al-Ittihad Club between the Portuguese coach Sergio Conceição and the decision-makers, due to the recent transfer deals and the departure of influential players from the team without providing convincing replacements.

The club entered a difficult phase both technically and psychologically in recent days, after losing several of its key players, most notably the Frenchman Karim Benzema who transferred to Al Hilal, and the Frenchman N'Golo Kante who moved to Fenerbahçe in Turkey.

These changes cast a shadow over the team's preparations before the Clasico match against Al-Nassr, as Al-Ittihad appeared affected by the instability and lost the match 2-0 in the Saudi League competition.

The management of the club expanded to compensate for the offensive deficiency by signing the Moroccan international striker Youssef En-Nesyri for a season and a half. The player participated for the first time wearing the team's jersey against Al-Nassr without managing to score.

The numbers reveal En-Nesyri's struggles in scoring, as he failed to find the net in his last 14 matches with his former club or national team, adding pressure on the team's forward line.

In the same context, special sources reported that Conceição feels dissatisfied due to the failure to complete the deal for his compatriot Gustavo Sá, who was a candidate to be the direct replacement for N'Golo Kanté in the midfield.

The federation is currently seeking urgent solutions to restore technical balance, amidst the pressure of upcoming matches and the administration and fans' desire to correct the course and quickly return to the path of victories.
