Al-Nassr Delivers Legal Blow to the Federation Regarding Al-Hamdan
The management of Al-Nassr Club fortified its position with a strong legal stance after obtaining two official approvals confirming the validity of registering striker Abdullah Al-Hamdan and the legitimacy of his participation in the match against Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Roshn League Clasico.
The Clasico match, held at "Al Awal Park" as part of the 21st round, saw Hamdan participate as a substitute and ended with Al-Nassr winning 2-0.
The appearance of Al-Hamdan in the Al-Nassr jersey sparked objections from Al-Ittihad Club, which filed an official protest, citing the player's transfer after terminating his contract with Al-Hilal before its expiration on February 6th.
The Saudi newspaper "Al-Riyadiyah" confirmed that Al-Nassr's management relies on two explicit approvals issued by the Professionalism Committee of the Football Federation and the Professional League Association, which prove the legality of registering the player.
On the other hand, Al-Hilal Club filed an official complaint against Al-Hamdan, accusing him of terminating his contract without legal justification and considering the move a clear violation of the applicable regulations.
It is noted that Abdullah Al-Hamdan participated with Al-Hilal during the current season in 15 matches across various competitions and succeeded in scoring a single goal before his departure from the team.
