Saad Al-Ladheed, the former director of the Saudi recruitment program and the current CEO of Neom Club, refuted the accusations against him regarding interference in the affairs of Al-Ittihad Club and granting the captaincy to French player Karim Benzema.

The delightful response came during his appearance on the program "Action with Waleed," where he categorically denied any role in imposing the captain's armband on Benzema, asserting that he had never met the Portuguese coach Nuno Santo in his life.

He clarified that the rumors about his intervention to force the technical staff of the union to give Benzema the captain's armband are not true, considering that these talks lack any real evidence.

On the other hand, the journalist Abdullah Falatah revealed intriguing details on the same program, indicating that Benzema's brother threatened the Al-Ittihad management with an offer from the American league if the player's demands were not met.

Flata added that the management of the club has fulfilled all of Benzema's wishes since he joined two and a half years ago, including the dismissal of coach Nuno Santo and the departure of Moroccan player Abderrazak Hamdallah.

He continued by saying that the federation was unable to punish Benzema, considering that the player manipulated the management before his departure, and confirmed that Saad Al-Latheed was the one who decided to grant him the captain's armband.

Karim Benzema is noted to have transferred to Al-Hilal during the last winter transfer window after terminating his contract with Al-Ittihad. He made a strong debut by scoring three goals and assisting one in a 6-0 victory over Al-Akhdood in the 21st round of the Roshn League.
