Al-Ittihad Club issued a fiery statement following their loss to Al-Nassr, calling for a review of the controversial refereeing decisions, emphasizing the need to protect the fairness of the competition and the credibility of the Saudi Roshan League.

Al-Ittihad suffered a 2-0 defeat against Al-Nassr in the 21st round of the Saudi Professional League, in a classic match held at the "Al-Awwal Park" stadium in the capital, Riyadh.

The federation's statement expressed the administration's dissatisfaction with what it described as serious refereeing errors, considering that they directly affected the course and outcome of the match after two clear penalty kicks for the team were ignored.

The statement pointed out that one of the cases was completely clear and confirmed by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) reviews, yet the decision was not counted, raising questions about the mechanism of applying the technology.

Al-Ittihad Club emphasized that its demands stem from its commitment to ensuring equal opportunities among clubs, calling on the relevant committees to review the footage and take measures that guarantee the integrity of refereeing.

The goals for Al-Nassr in the match came from Senegalese player Sadio Mane through a penalty kick, before Brazilian Angelo added the second goal in the final minutes of the game.

With this result, Al-Nassr raised its tally to 49 points, securing second place in the Saudi League standings, while Al-Ittihad's tally remained at 34 points in seventh place.
