Mbappe Files Legal Complaint Against Paris Saint-Germain
Saturday 07-02-2026
On Friday, Paris Saint-Germain received an official legal notice at the club's headquarters, demanding payment of the remaining amount in the ongoing financial dispute with its former star Kylian Mbappe, following the player's free transfer move in the summer of 2024.

According to the French newspaper "L'Équipe," the remaining disputed amount is around six million euros, in the case that has been under consideration by the French judicial authorities since the end of last year.

At the end of December 2025, the Paris Labor Court issued a ruling requiring Paris Saint-Germain to pay 60.9 million euros to Mbappe. This amount includes 55 million euros in unpaid salaries and bonuses, as well as accumulated vacation entitlements and legal interest estimated at around 5.9 million euros, with an order for provisional enforcement of the judgment.

Paris Saint-Germain only paid 55 million euros, without settling the remaining amount, prompting the player's lawyer to resort once again to legal proceedings to collect the full dues, escalating the case to a new stage of tension between the parties.
