Atletico Madrid secured a spot in the semifinals of the 2025/2026 Copa del Rey after achieving a sweeping victory over Real Betis with a score of 5-0, in the match that took place on Thursday evening as part of the quarterfinals.

David Hancko opened the scoring for Atletico Madrid early in the 12th minute, before Giuliano Simeone added the second goal in the 30th minute. Nigerian Ademola Lookman extended the lead with the third goal in the 37th minute, marking his first goal with the Rojiblancos.

In the second half, Atletico Madrid continued its dominance, with Frenchman Antoine Griezmann scoring the fourth goal in the 62nd minute, assisted by Lookman, before Thiago Almada concluded the goals by scoring the fifth in the 83rd minute.

With this significant victory, Atletico Madrid successfully secured a ticket to the Copa del Rey semifinals, while Real Betis officially exited the tournament.
