Officially.. Ronaldo Absent and En-Nesyri Present for the Union vs. Al-Nassr Classic
Thursday 05-02-2026
The Portuguese coach Sergio Conceição, manager of Al-Ittihad Club, announced his team's final list in preparation for facing Al-Nassr in the Saudi Roshn League Classic, scheduled to be held on Friday evening at the First Park Stadium in Riyadh.

Al-Ittihad will be a heavy guest on Al-Nassr as part of the twenty-first round of the Saudi Professional League, in a match that enjoys wide public and media anticipation.

The Al-Ittihad list witnessed the presence of Moroccan Youssef En-Nesyri, the new winter signing, alongside Nigerian George Elinikena, in a clear indication of the coach's reliance on his new attacking elements.

The list included in the goalkeeping: Rajkovic, Al-Absi, and Al-Shanqeeti, while the defense line included Danilo Pereira, Kadash, Mitai, Bernawi, Mohannad Al-Shanqeeti, and Ahmed Al-Julaidan.

In the midfield, there were Fabinho, Hossam Aouar, Mohammed Flata, Hamed Al-Ghamdi, Awad Al-Nashri, and Mahamadou Doumbia, while the attack was led by Diaby, En-Nesyri, Elinikena, Al-Bishi, and Talal Haji.

On the other hand, the Portuguese Jorge Jesus surprised everyone by excluding Cristiano Ronaldo from Al-Nassr's list to face Al-Ittihad, without announcing an official reason for his absence from the classic.

Ronaldo had participated in Al-Nassr's recent training and confirmed his readiness before the technical staff's decisions placed him out of the calculations for the second consecutive match.

Press reports indicate that Ronaldo's absence is linked to a state of anger over the club's moves in the winter transfer market, especially compared to Al-Hilal's reinforcements.

Al-Nassr occupies the second place in the Roshn League standings with 46 points, one point behind the leader Al-Hilal, while Al-Ittihad comes sixth with 34 points before the awaited classic.
