The German Matthias Jaissle, head coach of Al-Ahli club, excluded the French midfielder Valentin Atangana from the team's squad for the match against Al-Hazm today, Thursday, as part of the twenty-first round of the Saudi Roshn League.

Yaisleh's decision came as part of tactical choices specific to the match, as the coach preferred to rearrange the midfield before the anticipated encounter against Al-Hazm.

On the other hand, Al-Ahly's lineup saw the return of Belgian left-back Mathias Dams, after his absence from several previous matches, alongside the presence of Brazilian winger Matteo Goncalves among the attacking options.

Matthias Dams participated in 15 matches with Al-Ahly across various competitions this season, totaling 1,275 minutes of play, and successfully assisted in two goals for his teammates.

The Al-Ahli squad included eight foreign players: Senegalese goalkeeper Edouard Mendy, Roger Ibanez, Matheus Gonçalves, Galeno, Algerian Riyad Mahrez, Englishman Ivan Toney, as well as Belgian Matteo Dams.

Al-Ahli will host Al-Hazm at the Al-Inma Stadium in King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, at 8:30 PM local time.

Al-Ahli holds the third position in the Saudi Professional League standings with 44 points, after achieving 13 wins, 5 draws, and one loss.
