Ahmed Al-Tayeb: Zamalek Surpassed Al-Ahly with Its Dollar Millions and Fleet of Players
Thursday 05-02-2026
Sports critic Ahmed Al-Tayeb praised the Zamalek players after their sweeping victory over Ismailia Electricity and the White team's superiority over Al-Ahly Club.

Zamalek defeated Ismailia Electricity with a score of 5-2 last night, Wednesday, in a match within the 17th round of the Egyptian Premier League.

Ahmed Al-Tayeb said on Facebook: "Neymar, Hossam Abdel-Mageed, Youssef Osama Nabih, and Saif Jaafar are young talents who amazed everyone, overcame clubs that spend millions of dollars, and won championships. Now, Ahmed Al-Khodary, Mohamed Ibrahim, Aisho, Mohamed El-Sayed, and others, despite the registration ban, have surpassed the globally renowned Al-Ahly with its millions of dollars and fleet of professional players, and outperformed Pyramids, the champion of African champions and half the world. Zamalek might continue the journey or be halted! But isn't it time to apologize to everyone who managed the youth sector in the past and doubted their abilities and integrity?"

He continued: "Isn't it time to appreciate the administrative work and the important role of Mr. Edward for his exceptional work and bringing in players who were respected by everyone and needed time and harmony, and they excelled as testified by all witnesses? Everyone acknowledged him and his work, even if they didn't apologize or announce it (with my reservation on the departure of Nasser Maher and Dunga) out of necessity. Before you judge them, thank and support them if you truly love them. With the least, they do a lot. Bravo, Moatamed Gamal."
