Koka as a Replacement for Mohamed Hamdy in the Egyptian National Team for the 2026 World Cup
Wednesday 04-02-2026
The media personality Khaled Al-Ghandour confirmed that Hossam Hassan, the coach of the Egyptian national team, is impressed with the performance of Ahmed Nabil Kouka, the Al-Ahly player, and intends to include him in the national team if he maintains his level and continues to participate with his club.

Al-Ghandour said on the "Stad Al-Mehwar" program: "Hossam Hassan believes that 'Koka' is a good replacement for Mohamed Hamdi, the left-back of Pyramids, who suffered a cruciate ligament injury in the Africa Cup of Nations."

He continued: "So far, it is most likely that Koka will be included with Fattouh in Egypt's final squad for the 2026 World Cup."

The Egyptian national team will play two friendly matches next March against Saudi Arabia and Spain in preparation for the 2026 World Cup competitions.
