Kante Presses to Complete His Move to Fenerbahçe
The transfer deal of French star N'Golo Kanté from Saudi club Al-Ittihad to Turkish club Fenerbahçe has reached a decisive turning point, as reports from Turkey revealed an official move by the player to save the deal at the last moment.
Journalist "Yagiz Sabuncuoglu" reported that Kante sent an official letter to the Saudi Professional League, confirming the validity of the procedures followed by the Turkish club. He asserted that Fenerbahçe submitted the documents through the International Transfer Matching System within the specified time frame, in response to reports suggesting a technical delay prevented his registration.
In a legal development, the clubs Al-Ittihad and Fenerbahçe have jointly submitted a file to FIFA to intervene and approve the transfer process, while diplomatic and legal efforts continue to persuade the Saudi Arabian Football Federation to adopt a more flexible stance.
It is noted that Kanté had already undergone the necessary medical examinations in Jeddah for the benefit of the Turkish club, after both parties reached an agreement for his transfer for about 4 million euros. However, the "system shutdown timing" issue is what is currently hindering the official announcement.
