Zamalek Defeats Al-Masry with a Double in the African Confederation Cup
The match between Zamalek and Al-Masry Al-Portsaidi, which took place on Sunday evening in the fourth round of the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup, ended with a 2-1 victory for the White team.
Hossam Abdel Mageed scored Zamalek's first goal in the 22nd minute from a penalty kick, then Salah Mohsen equalized for Al-Masry in the 34th minute, also from a penalty kick. In the 75th minute, Oday Dabbagh added the second goal for Zamalek.
With this result, Zamalek's tally rises to 8 points, leading the group standings, while Al-Masry's tally remains at 7 points in second place.
Zamalek's upcoming match in the Confederation Cup will be played on Sunday, February 8, and it will be against Zesco as part of the fifth round of the tournament.
Al-Masry will meet with Kaizer Chiefs in the fifth round on Sunday as well.
