Kompany: There are no easy matches, and certain factors affected the course of the game

Vincent Kompany, the head coach of Bayern Munich, spoke following the 2-2 draw against Hamburg in the match that brought the two teams together in the 20th round of the German league, confirming that the confrontation was complicated and difficult as expected.

Kompany said in his statements after the match: "Football is always complicated, and there are no easy matches. We knew we were going to face a tough challenge away from home, and there are no easy opponents in this league."

The Bayern coach added: "Today's match saw 16 minutes of stoppage, and it could have been 20 or 25 additional minutes due to injury time, which alone shows the intensity and fierceness of the game. When we see 6 or 7 minutes of injury time, it means a lot happened during the match, not just from the 22 players on the field but from other factors that affected its course."

Kompany touched on some refereeing decisions saying: "There are situations I felt were unnecessarily complicated, such as the yellow card Harry Kane received in one of the scenes, where the defender slipped and fell, yet Kane was penalized. These details start from the first minute and continue throughout the match."

Regarding concerns about the team's trajectory, Kompany stressed: "You cannot judge the direction of the teams after just two matches. Usually, we need at least ten matches to assess things. Yes, we didn't win, and this is Bayern Munich. We will do what we always do: we will respond on the field."

The Bayern coach concluded his remarks by saying: "I had strong feelings during the match, and I felt my team fought until the end, and I will not allow anyone to diminish that. I have full respect for the opponent, as they dealt intelligently with the course of the game. We knew it was a tough match away from home, especially as they played 7 matches in 20 days, and in the end, it was a strong and good encounter for the Bundesliga."
