Kalidou Koulibaly returned to Riyadh on Friday after traveling to Senegal in recent days following the death of his father, in a poignant human event that impacted his preparation schedule.

The Senegalese defender sustained an injury to his adductor muscle while participating with his national team in the semi-final match against Egypt in the Africa Cup of Nations.

Koulibaly participated in Senegal's national team winning the Africa Cup of Nations title, following their 1-0 victory over Morocco in the tournament's final match.
