The Spanish newspaper Diario de Mallorca revealed that Real Mallorca is interested in signing the young Moroccan defender Chadi Riad to strengthen the team's defense in the remaining months of this season.

Shadi Riad is 22 years old and plays as a central defender. He previously played for Barcelona and Real Betis in Spain before transferring to Crystal Palace in England in 2024 on a contract that runs until 2029. He has also received call-ups from the Moroccan national team.

Mallorca's interest in the player comes after he recently returned to the field following a long absence due to an anterior cruciate ligament injury in his knee. He was away from playing for a long time and underwent surgery before making a strong comeback and participating with Crystal Palace.

The newspaper confirmed that the sporting director of Mallorca traveled to London this week to closely follow the negotiations, as the Spanish club is serious about trying to finalize the deal before the end of the transfer window, in light of the team's efforts to strengthen its defense line.
