Ayman Ashraf, the former Al Ahly star, announced his retirement from football after a successful career on the field.

Ayman Ashraf said in a television statement: "I decided to retire and leave through the big door, out of respect for Al Ahly's fans. I've been struggling with this decision for 6 months."

He continued, "I wished to end my career at Al Ahly Club because I am proud of what I have achieved throughout my journey with the Red Castle. I received offers recently, but I was concerned about a decline in performance, so I decided to retire to maintain my image with Al Ahly fans."

The player won five league titles with Al Ahly, in addition to three African Champions League titles, two African Super Cup titles, two Egypt Cup titles, three local Super Cup titles, and also achieved the bronze medal in the Club World Cup twice.
