Chelsea Prepares to Make a Huge Offer for Barcelona's Striker
Saturday 31-01-2026
Ferran Torres' name has strongly emerged in the summer transfer market after one of the Premier League giants expressed interest in signing the Barcelona striker, according to 'Fichajes'.

The site revealed that Chelsea has made Ferran Torres a primary target to strengthen their attacking line for the next season and is preparing to make a financial offer of up to 80 million euros to persuade Barcelona's management to release the player during the summer of 2026.

The same source indicated that the London club's management is looking for a striker capable of playing more than one attacking role to fit with the team's project, which is based on supporting young talents, as the 2025/2026 season draws to a close. This comes at a time when Ferran Torres' contract with Barcelona extends until the summer of 2027.

The report added that Chelsea is betting on tempting the player with a promise of a consistent primary role as a main striker, contrary to his current situation with Barcelona, especially with Robert Lewandowski's presence and the possibility of the Catalan club signing a new striker.

The report also noted that Barcelona is aware of the significant potential financial return from the deal, given their need to conduct strategic sales to balance the salary cap, making an 80 million euro offer hard to refuse if the English club proceeds with it.

The report confirmed that Ferran Torres does not oppose the idea of returning to the Premier League, where he has previously played, amid great anticipation for what the negotiations will result in during the upcoming summer transfer period.
