Real Madrid's Request Rejected in Negreira Case
The 'Negreira' case has seen new developments after Judge Alejandra Gil Lima decided to reject the request submitted by Real Madrid to access all reports and audits prepared by various consulting firms, which included economic data for Barcelona between 2010 and 2021.
Real Madrid was counting on a positive decision that would allow them to access all financial details of the Catalan club, in addition to the reports that Barcelona is believed to have collected regarding the Negreira case, which had previously been submitted to the judge overseeing the case.
Real Madrid's legal department based their request on the need to delve into the source and destination of the payments that were transferred to Enriquez Negreira and his associated network, with the aim of clarifying the nature and background of these financial transactions.
Judge Alejandra Gil Lima stated: "There is no basis for conducting the investigations requested by Mr. Molina's agent on behalf of Real Madrid, according to the memoranda dated 12/22/25 and 9/26/25."
Despite this, the judicial decision included an important point, as the judge agreed to hear the testimony of Carles Naval, the first team delegate at Barcelona, as part of the Negreira case. She explained that his testimony could be relevant in determining the whereabouts of the reports, their nature of use, the entity or purpose for which they were allocated, in addition to how these reports were invoiced and paid.
The judge also indicated that Naval, by virtue of his years of involvement in the approval process of those payments, could clarify the purpose of these payments and the type of services that were financially compensated, which may add new information to the investigation's course in the case.
