Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano reported that Inter Milan has entered into direct talks with Liverpool to sign English midfielder Curtis Jones on loan with an option to buy.

Romano explained that negotiations are still ongoing between the two clubs, but they are linked to the potential departure of Davide Frattesi from Inter during the current transfer window, as Nottingham Forest awaits a final response regarding the player's status.
