Youth and Cooperation Compete to Sign Imam Ashour
Friday 30-01-2026
Imam Ashour, the midfielder for Al Ahly club, has received offers from the Saudi clubs Al-Shabab and Al-Taawoun to sign him during the current winter transfer window or at the start of the next season.

According to Al-Watan newspaper, Imam Ashour received an offer from the Saudi club Al-Shabab over two months ago through his agency. However, the offer was not presented to Al-Ahly's management at that time due to the closure of the player's departure file. The newspaper added that Al-Taawoun club also made a new offer in the past few days.

The sources indicated that the upcoming period might witness significant developments regarding the future of Imam Ashour, especially with Saudi clubs intending to present official offers to Al Ahly's management to make a final decision about the player.

The Al Ahly club recently announced a fine of one and a half million pounds on Imam Ashour, in addition to suspending him from group training for two weeks, allowing only individual training. This was due to his failure to travel with the team to Tanzania to face Young Africans in the African Champions League without prior permission.
