Joan Laporta, President of FC Barcelona, confirmed that the winter transfer market is closed for the Catalan team, and the club will not make any new deals or allow the departure of its current players.

Regarding the transfer market, Flick said: "There are still a few days left, but I don't want to create false expectations. Initially, we achieved what we wanted, we consider the market closed, we have secured a versatile defensive player, Cancelo."

On Deco and focusing on young talents, he confirmed: "He is working on matters more related to youth football and Barcelona Athletic. There is good work being done to achieve the goals we have set, which is to deliver a very successful season."

Regarding the retention of Bernal and Casado, he clarified: "Their departure is unlikely because they are players we rely on. They are homegrown players, part of the equation we believe works: a mix of La Masia players and talented players from different cultures."

On the Champions League: "We had to score goals, and we did, qualifying in fifth place. We are among the top eight teams, and that was the goal. Flick is particularly happy because he can plan the season more comfortably."

On the club ownership model: "Among the top eight clubs, the only club owned by its members is Barcelona; the rest have an owner, and that is respected, but I affirm that this model works."

On Real Madrid, he concluded his statements by saying: "They will handle their affairs, while I focus on Barcelona."
