Friday 30-01-2026
Mohamed El-Shenawy, Al-Ahly's goalkeeper, confirmed that his team's match against Young Africans will not be easy, noting that the Reds will strive to achieve victory.

Al Ahly will face Young Africans tomorrow, Saturday, in a match as part of the fourth round of the group stage in the CAF Champions League.

In the press conference for the match, El Shenawy said: "First, we thank the country of Tanzania for their hospitality. After returning from participating with the national team, we faced a tough match against Young Africans, but we managed to secure a victory. In the following match, we delivered a strong performance and achieved an important win with a remarkable level."

Al-Ahly includes a large number of top-level players who possess significant and sufficient experience to help them decide matches and deliver strong performances, especially against a major team like Young Africans, which boasts great capabilities and features.

He added: "Since I was born, I've been following football, and I know very well that Al Ahly is a club that always competes for championships and strives to win everything. This made me wish to play for this club and get to know its system up close."

He continued: "When I joined the club, I found that Al Ahly always plays for championships, and everything operates according to a clear system."

El-Shenawy concluded: "I believe the last match I played here ended in a draw and we didn't lose, but that's in the past. We are now focused on tomorrow's match to win, and all the players are committed to achieving victory in the upcoming game, with the aim of getting closer to qualifying for the next round. We are playing the tournament to ultimately win it."
