Conceição Reveals Al-Ittihad's Offensive Strategy Against Al-Fateh After Benzema's Absence
Thursday 29-01-2026
Portuguese coach Sérgio Conceição, the manager of Al-Ittihad Jeddah, has finalized his offensive strategy ahead of the match against Al-Fateh by selecting the most suitable replacement to cover for the absence of French captain Karim Benzema in the upcoming league encounter.

Prince Abdullah bin Jalawi Stadium will host the match between Al-Ittihad and Al-Fateh this Thursday evening, as part of the nineteenth round of the Saudi Professional League, Roshn.

Conceição relies on the Saudi international Saleh Al-Shehri to lead Al-Ittihad's attack, replacing Karim Benzema, in a move aimed at maintaining the team's offensive balance.

Roger Fernandez compensates for the absence of Algerian Houssem Aouar in the midfield, providing the Portuguese coach with diverse tactical options during the course of the match.

The team is expected to start the match with a lineup featuring Predrag Rajković as the goalkeeper, with Hassan Kadesh, Fabinho, Danilo Pereira, and Muhannad Al-Shanqeeti in defense.

In the midfield are N'Golo Kante, Mahamadou Doumbia, and Roger Fernandez, while the front line is led by the trio of Saleh Al-Shehri, Moussa Diaby, and Ahmed Al-Ghamdi.

Al-Ittihad enters the match in sixth place in the Roshan League standings with 30 points, while Al-Fateh approaches the encounter occupying the tenth position with 21 points.
