Coach Álvaro Arbeloa's decision to substitute the young Turkish star Arda Güler during the match against Benfica, at the conclusion of the Champions League group stage, caused dissatisfaction and anger from the young player towards this decision.

Arbeloa took Güler off in the 78th minute of the match, replacing him with Moroccan star Brahim Diaz, at a time when the team was struggling with a deficit in the score and was seeking offensive solutions to restore balance and give them a chance to come back in the game.

Cameras captured Arda Güler's anger as he left the field, where the player repeated the phrase: "Always me, always me," clearly indicating his displeasure with his coach's decisions, especially given the good performance he was delivering during the match.

Television footage showed a state of astonishment and disappointment on the faces of some team players, including Raúl Asensio and Jude Bellingham, who appeared surprised by the substitution decision, particularly as Güler was considered one of the key players capable of playmaking and creating opportunities in those critical moments.

Real Madrid fell to Benfica with a score of 4-2, forcing the royal team to enter the playoff to qualify for the round of 16 of the tournament.
