Alexis Mac Allister, Liverpool midfielder, spoke after his contribution to the big win over Qarabag with a score of 6-0, in the final round of the league stage in the UEFA Champions League, which secured the English team's direct qualification to the Round of 16.

Mac Allister said: "We skipped two matches we would have played in the playoffs, and this is important in a long season like this."

He continued: "We played very openly in the first half, but our performance improved a lot in the second half and we managed to score goals, and I think the team performed well."

He added: "I love being inside the penalty area, and some might say I'm not effective enough there, and I'm still angry with myself because I received a great pass from Mohamed Salah and I could have scored my first hat-trick in my career."

Regarding the team's collective development, he explained: "We know that in the Champions League we were better compared to the Premier League, we need to focus on the positives, but also think about the next match."

Mac Allister also sent a message to his teammate Wataru Endo saying: "I love him and I'm very happy for him, he works hard and is always there when we need him."
