Marotta Clarifies Inter Milan's Position on Signing Moussa Diaby
Wednesday 28-01-2026
Giuseppe Marotta, the president of the Italian club Inter Milan, commented on the circulating news regarding negotiations to sign the French player Moussa Diaby from Al-Ittihad Club during the current winter transfer window.

Marotta confirmed in statements to "Sky Sports" on Wednesday that Diaby's name is among the options considered by Inter's management. However, he emphasized that completing the deal remains a complex and difficult task at present due to several factors.

The Inter Milan president said, "Yes, we are in talks regarding Moussa Diaby, but the deal is not easy at all. The player is an important asset for his current team, and the club spent a significant amount to sign him, so the chances of his transfer are not high, even though he is one of the names we are considering."

Marotta, in concluding his remarks, touched on the team's situation in the Champions League, explaining that direct qualification to the Round of 16 seems difficult at this stage. This prompts the club to prepare for the knockout stages while simultaneously exploring available options to support the team in the coming period.
