Al-Ahly Finalizes Loan of Gradišar to Hungarian Újpest
Al-Ahly officials have finalized the departure of Slovenian Nejc Gradišar from the team during the current winter transfer window, after agreeing on his move to Hungarian club Újpest on loan until the end of the season.
According to Yalla Kora, Gradišar will join Újpest for 250,000 euros, with an option for a permanent purchase at the end of the loan period for 1.5 million euros. The player is expected to travel to Hungary in the coming hours to complete the formalities.
Reports indicate that Al-Ahly will register Angolan striker Elton Kamweish, arriving from Norwegian club Tromsø, in place of Gradišar on the team roster, as part of the club's offensive reinforcements for the upcoming phase.
The decision to let Nejc Gradišar go was based on a recommendation from Danish coach Jess Thorup, who was not convinced by the player's performance in recent times, leading the technical staff to exclude him from the team's plans for this January.
