Behind the Scenes of Zizo's Penalty Against Wadi Degla
The media personality Ahmed Shobeir, former Al-Ahly star, commented on the penalty awarded to Al-Ahly in the match against Wadi Degla, from which Ahmed Sayed Zizo scored the second goal for Al-Ahly.
Al Ahly defeated Wadi Degla 3-1 yesterday, Tuesday, in the 16th round of the Egyptian Premier League.
Shobier said on his radio show: "The decision to take the penalty kick was not random; it came as a direct instruction from the team's coach, Jes Thorup, who insisted that Ahmed Sayed Zizo take the shot himself."
He added: "This decision came as a result of the coaching staff's awareness of the immense pressure and intense campaigns the player has been subjected to recently by some fans and analysts."
