Al-Ahly Nears Finalizing Kamoysh Deal to Strengthen the Attack

The Egyptian club Al Ahly is close to reaching a final agreement with the Norwegian club Tromsø to sign the Angolan striker Eltson Kamwisha during the current winter transfer window, as part of the Red Castle's efforts to strengthen their forward line ahead of upcoming commitments.

The "Stad Al-Mahwar" program, citing a source within Al-Ahly, reported that Tromsø club has given preliminary approval to loan Kamoysh to Al-Ahly for $500,000, with the agreement including a purchase option at the end of the loan period for $1.4 million.

The source indicated that Tromsø's management is awaiting a final response from Al Ahly in the coming days to officially finalize the deal's details, amidst optimism within the Cairo club about completing the contract.

Al Ahly is intensifying its negotiations to finalize the deal for the new foreign striker, in preparation to continue competing strongly in the Egyptian League and the African Champions League this season.

Notably, Kamwish, the 26-year-old, joined Tromsø in February 2025 and played 27 matches during which he scored 14 goals and made 7 assists.
