The journalist Ahmed Shobeir revealed the latest developments regarding the new Zamalek coach file.

In a radio statement, Shobier said: "I previously mentioned that the Frenchman Patrice Carteron has ended his contract with the Qatari club Umm Salal, and his salary is not considered high, which raised questions about the possibility of him entering the circle of candidates, especially given the significant successes he previously achieved with Zamalek. However, an official within the club categorically denied this, confirming that Carteron's name is not on the table and is not currently considered by Zamalek's management."

Shobeir denied that the Portuguese Paulo Sergio is among the candidates to coach Zamalek, as a responsible source within Zamalek confirmed that there is no intention to contract him due to the coach's ongoing contract with the Saudi club Al-Okhdood.

He concluded: "Zamalek has set a salary cap for the new head coach at $40,000 per month. The management is also waiting to see what Moatamed Gamal will deliver in the upcoming period, with the final decision to be made after the matches against Al-Masry in the Confederation Cup and the league, in order to evaluate the results and make the appropriate decision."
